We Provide All Materials Needed
Strides Tutoring offers 60 minute, 1:1 multisensory literacy and math tutoring using the Orton Gillingham approach. Lessons are offered Monday to Friday between 10am and 7pm. Families register for 2 or more session per week, depending on the child’s needs and schedule. No materials are needed, everything will be provided. We create lessons that are supportive and positive, fostering student engagement.

Individualized
Lessons are carefully tailored to meet each student’s unique needs, building on data from previous lessons to make each session more effective.
Sequential and Cumulative
Lessons are designed to build skills progressively. New concepts are introduced only once previous skills are mastered. Lessons allow for consistent review to reinforce prior learning.
Multisensory
OG lessons engage students with multiple senses – visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic -reinforcing learning through various channels. Interactive games are included keeping students engaged, and learning fun.
5 Pillars of Literacy
The literacy lessons are structured around the Science of reading including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Meet Your Tutor
Tanya is a skilled and knowledgeable tutor with 14 years experience in the Orton Gillingham approach. She holds multiple certificates, including Orton Gillingham Language Training, Orton Gillingham Math Training, and Applied Behaviour Analysis. Tanya has also completed numerous courses in Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading. She has 13 years of experience working in the school district providing math and literacy support. In her free time, Tanya likes trail running, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing.
